Terms of Service

You need an account to buy and read books. Provide accurate information, keep your password and authorized devices secure, and tell us promptly at lucas@getbleno.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. If you sign in with Google, your Google account is subject to Google's own terms.

When you buy a book, bundle or membership, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to read that content for non-commercial purposes on devices authorized to your account, for as long as we offer it. You do not acquire ownership of the content.

Content is protected by licenses, device binding and watermarks. The number of devices you can authorize at the same time is limited. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, share or publicly display content, or remove or circumvent any protection or watermark.

Prices are shown before you buy, and payments are processed by Stripe. Memberships renew automatically for the plan period you choose until you cancel; cancellation stops future renewals, and member access continues until the end of the paid period. Because digital content is made available immediately, purchases are non-refundable except where required by law or where we decide otherwise in a particular case. You keep ownership of reviews, check-in answers, and books or images you upload, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute that content as needed to operate BookShop. You confirm you have the rights to anything you upload, and that it is lawful and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that violates these terms or that other users report.

• Do not attempt to access other users' accounts or content, or the service by automated means beyond normal use.
• Do not interfere with, overload or probe the security of BookShop.
• Do not post unlawful, abusive, misleading or spam content.

You may stop using BookShop and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other users or the service at risk. Licenses for content end when your account is terminated for a violation.

BookShop is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to BookShop is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced on the site or by email. Continuing to use BookShop after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions: lucas@getbleno.com.
